Tom McCarver - President & Chief Executive Officer

Tom McCarver has 24 years of experience in the Out of Home industry focusing on real estate, public affairs and executive leadership. His roles have included Vice President of Real Estate and Public Affairs for Clear Channel Outdoor/Minneapolis Division, President of the Minnesota Outdoor Advertising Association and Chief Operating Officer for Total Outdoor. 


Tom formed Blue Ox Media Group in 2016 with the specific goal of developing high value out-of-home advertising assets in the Twin Cities market. 

Steve Boynton - Chief Financial Officer & General Counsel

Steve received his J.D. degree from Hamline University School of Law in 1991. For the past 29 years he has assisted individuals and business entities with a variety of legal matters. Additionally, he has served as general counsel for several companies including Total Outdoor Corp, an outdoor advertising company based in Seattle, WA.


Steve joined Blue Ox Media Group as a Principal in February, 2018. His experience as a real estate lawyer and knowledge of governmental affairs make him uniquely qualified to establish Blue Ox Media Group as a preeminent outdoor advertiser in the Twin Cities market.

Scott Elliot - Executive Vice President of Sales

Scott Elliot oversees national sales for Blue Ox Media. He has 27 years of Sales and Management experience in the Out of Home (OOH) advertising industry including roles as President of Clear Channel Outdoor/Chicago division, Vice President of Sales for Branded Cites and Vice President of Sales for Wrapify. Throughout his career, he has sold a wide variety of OOH including large format digital and static signage, wallscapes, traditional bulletins and posters as well as on-vehicle advertising. 

Gerrit Hooker - Director of Business Development

Gerrit Hooker manages the local sales efforts for Blue Ox Media. He has 9 years of experience in the Out of Home (OOH) advertising industry with Clear Channel Outdoor in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Additionally, he is a second-generation outdoor advertising sales representative following in the footsteps of his father who spent over 35 years working with local and national clients while at Naegele Outdoor & Clear Channel Outdoor.
